-Party General Secretary and President To Lam presented the first-class Labour Order to the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA) during a ceremony in Hanoi on September 17 marking its 75th founding anniversary.

-In the wake of Typhoon Yagi, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has highlighted the urgent need to boost public investment, particularly in major transport projects, as a key driver of socio-economic development.

-Vietnam wishes to further strengthen cooperation with Germany in vocational education and sending Vietnamese workers to the European country to work in the context of Germany's recent revision of its foreign worker reception policy, stated Deputy Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs Le Tan Dung at a meeting with Country Director of Germany Development Agency (GIZ) in Vietnam Michaela Baur in Hanoi on September 17.

-A delegation from the Vietnam News Agency (VNA), led by Deputy General Director Doan Thi Tuyet Nhung, attended the 53rd meeting of the Executive Board of the Organisation of Asia-Pacific News Agencies (OANA) in Moscow on September 15 to discuss ethical aspects of modern media, particularly the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in journalism.

-Power has been restored to over 6.03 million of Vietnam Electricity (EVN)’s 6.1 million customers affected by Typhoon Yagi and subsequent flooding, equating to nearly 99%.

According to the group’s fresh announcement, 1,640 out of the 1,678 medium-voltage power lines that experienced outages due to the storm had been resumed by the afternoon of September 17.Read full story
