Tet specialties arrive on frontline islands

Navy ships carrying essential goods for the Lunar New Years Festival (Tet) on the island district of Truong Sa in the central coastal province of Khanh Hoa returned to Cam Ranh port on January 27, after completing a hard journey.

The convoy endured strong winds and rough seas to deliver almost 300 tonnes of Tet supplies for soldiers and local people on the 33 islands in the Truong Sa district.

The supplies and gifts from people and enterprises all over the country,
included sticky rice, green beans, hundreds of pigs and phrynium leaves for people to prepare square sticky rice cakes./.
