Thai Nguyen holds gathering for Lao students on New Year festival
The Vietnam-Laos Friendship Association in Thai Nguyen province on April 12 held a get-together for Lao students in the northern locality on the occasion of the traditional New Year (Bunpimay) festival of Laos.

At the get-together, many meaningful activities during the New Year festival were held such as praying for good luck, tying a thread on the wrist, and splashing water, creating a joyful and warm atmosphere for participating students.
This is a practical activity to strengthen and affirm the traditional friendship and special solidarity between the two nations’ people.
At present, there are nearly 1,400 Lao students studying in 11 educational institutions in Thai Nguyen./.
