Hanoi (VNA) – About 50 people were injured when the engine on a commuter boat exploded on March 5, pitching several passengers into a big canal, in Bangkok, Thailand.
The blast occurred when the boat was travelling on the Saen Saeb canal on the outskirts of Bangkok. The canal runs through the heart of the capital city and connects to its main river Chao Praya.
An official from the Thai Ministry of Interior confirmed that injured victims have been hospitalised, two of who are in critical condition.
Local police believed that the explosion was caused by a fuel leak on board.-VNA
