Hanoi (VNA) - Moroccan media have widely and positively reported on the official visit of Vietnam’s National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man to Morocco from July 24–27, describing it as a pivotal development in deepening the longstanding friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations.

Covering the July 25 meeting between Chairman Man and Moroccan Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, local outlets underscored the leaders’ shared resolve to enhance bilateral ties. PM Akhannouch reaffirmed Morocco’s appreciation for its traditional friendship with Vietnam and reiterated support for initiatives aimed at strengthening economic, trade and investment links.

Chairman Man affirmed that the visit sought to reinforce parliamentary diplomacy, expand business engagement, and further elevate bilateral relations in line with the strong political foundation and untapped cooperation potential.

It is not difficult to recognise the report’s outdated tone, built on unsubstantiated arguments, entrenched prejudice, and imposed interpretations regarding the freedom of religion in Vietnam. This is also not the first time the organisation’s conclusions have exposed clear shortcomings in objectivity and methodology, raising questions about political motivations behind what is presented as a human rights assessment.
