Tra Vinh develops sustainable prawn-forest production

The Department of Agricultural and Rural Development of the Mekong Delta’s Tra Vinh province is encouraging local farmers to grow clean prawns in tandem with improving mangrove forest production.
The Department of Agricultural and Rural Development of the MekongDelta’s Tra Vinh province is encouraging local farmers to grow cleanprawns in tandem with improving mangrove forest production.

Since 2013, the sector has invested more than 300 million VND (14,000USD) in developing green and clean prawn farms with 20 households inHiep Thanh commune, Duyen Hai district.

Underthe project, farmers have also been offered technical and technologicalassistance to enhance the effectiveness and quality of prawn farming inmangrove forests.

The farms are equipped withirrigation filter systems and are well maintained in a bid to ensureadequate supply of nutrition and light for prawn growing.

According to the Tra Vinh Centre for Agricultural and FisheryPromotion, the project has helped develop local forests while increasinglocal farmer income.-VNA

Hanoi shapes future city with AI, TOD, 1,153km metro network

According to the new master plan, Hanoi's study area spans all 126 wards and communes within Hanoi’s administrative boundary, covering roughly 3,359.84 sq.km. Its population is projected to reach around 14–15 million by 2035, 15–16 million by 2045, and 17–19 million by 2065, with a long-term cap of no more than 20 million residents.

Hanoi proposes subsidies to accelerate shift to electric vehicles

Under a draft resolution currently open for public feedback by the municipal People’s Committee, residents with permanent or temporary residence registration in Hanoi for at least two consecutive years, who own petrol-powered motorbikes registered before the resolution takes effect, will be eligible for support when purchasing electric motorbikes priced at 10 million VND or more.
