Tuyen Quang province upgrades relic site of first Party cell
A ceremony was held on January 25 to mark the completion of upgrades to the place where the first cell of the Communist Party of Vietnam in northern Tuyen Quang province was established.

The Mo Than Party cell was set up on March 20, 1940 at a house in Mo Than hamlet, now Group 40 of Minh Xuan ward in Tuyen Quang city, with seven Party members.
Under the Party cell’s leadership, the revolutionary movement in the Mo Than area developed and expanded to nearby areas. The establishment of this Party cell marked a step of development of the local revolutionary movement at that time.
Work on the relic site began on February 3, 2018, upgrading and building a stele shelter, a wooden exhibition house and some other facilities.
Standing Vice Secretary of the Tuyen Quang provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Thang said this is a valuable historical relic site whose values need to be maintained and promoted so that it can become a place for educating the revolutionary tradition to younger generations.-VNA
