On March 27, the Investigation Police Agency under the Ministry of Public Security started legal proceedings against and detained Chu, former Vice Chairman and former Chairman of the People’s Committee, and former Secretary of the provincial Party Committee.

The agency said he was arrested for “receiving bribes,” elaborating that the man received money from Nguyen Van Hau to facilitate Phuc Son Group JSC winning the bidding package for the construction of the main route of the road project along the southern part of the Tra Khuc River, Quang Ngai province.

On March 3, the ministry also did the same with Khoa, former Chairman of the People’s Committee, for the same charge./.
