Hanoi (VNA) – Hot hits of the original electric string quartet BOND from the UK, will be performed by the band and supported by Vietnamese artists, during the Lexus Music Night 2016, to be held in Hanoi on March 25.

There will be a unique combination between the Meritorious Artist Thanh Lam and singers My Linh, Pham Thu Ha and Phuc Tiep along with BOND and accompanied by the Maius Philharmonic Orchestra of the Vietnam National Academy of Music.

BOND is the world’s first band specialising in classical crossover and synthpop music. Having sold 4 million records worldwide, BOND is the best-selling string quartet of all time.

The band has four members: Tania Davis (Violin), Eos Counsell (Violin), Elspeth Hanson (Viola) and Gay-Yee Westerhoff (Cello), who were educated to the highest standard at some of the world’s most celebrated music institutions.

At its launch, BOND was hailed in the press as “the Spice Girls of Classical music” and went on to turn the world of classical crossover music on its head, spawning many electric string groups inspired by its unique sound.

Music played by BOND has been heard at many sport events, including the FA Cup, the Champions League, the Football World Cup, Olympics and the Cricket World Cup.-VNA
