Ho Chi Minh City (VNA) –
A US women’s delegation led by activist Merle Evelyn Ratner met with female journalists at the Sai Gon Giai phong newspaper office on December 20.

The sides discussed women’s rights, campaigning for equality and women’s empowerment.

Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the newspaper Ly Viet Trung informed her guests on the Vietnamese Government’s efforts to protect and support women.

The US delegates, meanwhile, shared their thoughts on feminism, the role of black women in campaigns for national liberation, LGBT rights, fighting sexual-harassment and Asian immigrants in the US.

Sai Gon Giai phong (Liberated Saigon) is the communications arm of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. It is published in English and Vietnamese.-VNA
