US Vice President visits Indonesia

Jakarta (VNA) – US Vice President Michael Pence arrived at the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport in Jakarta on late April 19, starting his two-day visit to Indonesia.
The US Vice President is scheduled to pay a
courtesy visit to Indonesian President Joko Widodo and hold talks with his
Indonesian counterpart Jusuf Kalla.
The two Vice Presidents will witness the signing of five memoranda of
understanding in energy and information technology at the US – Indonesia
Business Forum on April 21.
Besides, the US official will have a meeting with ASEAN Secretary General Le
Luong Minh as part of activities to commemorate the 40th anniversary of
ASEAN-US relations.
He also plans to visit the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta and meet with leaders of
