Various activities planned for Nha Trang Beach Festival 2019

The People’s Committee of the south-central province of Khanh Hoa has approved the Nha Trang Beach Festival-Khanh Hoa 2019 with nearly 50 art, physical-sport, trade and symposium activities spanning from May 10-13.

Khanh Hoa (VNA) – The People’s Committee of thesouth-central province of Khanh Hoa has approved the Nha Trang BeachFestival-Khanh Hoa 2019 with nearly 50 art, physical-sport, trade and symposiumactivities spanning from May 10-13.

The activities, aiming to promote the cultural values ofKhanh Hoa and coastal localities, include a “cau ngu” (whale worship) festival,Khanh Hoa birds’ net festival, traditional “bai choi” singing events, and sportcompetitions.

Besides, a painting exhibition featuring local beaches willbe held, along with a children painting contest, street dancing and musicnights.

Swimming and beach football tournament will be organized,together with a Muay championship and a beach Physique contest.

Within the framework of the Nha Trang Beach Festival-KhanhHoa 2019, the organizing board will hold a Vietnamese commodities fair, aninternational symposium on the development of bird net sector, and a nationalconference on tourism personnel training in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

The opening ceremony of the festival is slated for May 10,which will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television and Khanh HoaBroadcasting Station.

First held in 2003, the Nha Trang Beach Festival-Khanh Hoais organized in every two years with an aim to attract more tourists to thelocality.

KhanhHoa has been a famous tourist destination of Vietnam with special coastalcultural value and beautiful beaches such as crescent-shaped Nha Trang Beach,
VanPhong Bay, Hon Gom peninsula and the islands of Hon Lon and Diep Son.

Throughthe hosting of the National Tourism Year 2019 themed “Nha Trang – Colour ofSea”, Khanh Hoa aims to promote the beauty of seas and islands and tourismproducts in the province.

Accordingto the provincial Department of Tourism, Khanh Hoa welcomed 6.3 milliontourists in 2018, including some 2.7 million foreigners, and grossed more than20.5 trillion VND (885.2 million USD) in revenue.

The province strives to serve more than 6.8 million touristsin 2019, a year-on-year rise of 7 percent, including 3.3 million internationalholidaymakers, and rake in 22.5 trillion VND in tourism revenue.-VNA

Co To to offer free vessel trips to/from island on 29th day of last lunar month

To accommodate surging travel demand and keep transport operations running smoothly, the PM instructed relevant bodies to boost transport capacity, particularly public passenger services, to ensure seamless connections at railway stations, airports, bus terminals and ferry ports. Authorities were told to ensure that no travellers are left stranded or delayed in returning home for Tet due to a shortage of transport, while strictly preventing fare gouging and unlawful price hikes. Proactive measures to curb traffic accidents and congestion during the peak holiday period were also highlighted.
