Hanoi (VNA) - A war veteran in Vinhcity, the central province of Nghe An, has spent nearly 20 years collectingphotos, books and documents relating to late President Ho Chi Minh.
76-year-old Ta Quang Loc has used the things he has collected to exhibit in hisown library in Hung Dung district, Vinh city in commemoration of the lateleader.
Loc served in the army from 1968 to 1972 andthe wounded veteran started to collect documentaries relating to the latePresident in 1990.
He has collected up to 860 photos and 800 booksabout the great leader so far.
“I did the collection as I want to show myrespect and deep gratitude to President Ho Chi Minh, who I adored much. I wantmany people, especially the youth, to understand more about morality and lifestyleof Uncle Ho,” Loc said.
Loc has spent a lot of time catergorisingthe documents following timelines.
He also acts as a guide for visitors whocome to visit the library.
“Many people visit the library, especiallyduring Uncle Ho’s birthday on May 19, and the Independence Day on September 2.They have a chance to learn more about the late President’s revolutionarycareer, his morality and lifestyle and follow his example.”
Visitors to the library said they have felt theveteran’s love and admiration to late President Ho Chi Minh.
“Speaking with Loc, I feel how he admiredour beloved Uncle Ho,” said Nguyen Nhu Trung, a resident in Hung Dung district.
“The photos and documents Loc has collected so far have helped us a lot inunderstanding President Ho Chi Minh’s morality. We willtry our best to follow Uncle Ho’s great example.”-VNA
