Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam Airlines will add nearly 900 flights during the peak period of the Tet (Lunar New Year) holidays from January 15 to February 13, 2017 to meet the demand for travel during the holiday.
The increased flights offer 185,000 more seats, bringing the total number of seats of all domestic flights during the holidays to more than 1.6 million, up 13 percent against normal days and 46 percent from the same period last year.
The additional flights are on 10 domestic routes between cities with big demand for travel such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, and major tourist destinations including Nha Trang, Hue and Phu Quoc.
Of which, the Hanoi – HCM City route will have the most added flights with 327, followed by the HCM City – Da Nang route with 190 and the HCM City – Hue route with 136.
