Vietnam an active, responsible member of United Nations

Since joining the United Nations on September 20, 1977, Vietnam has played an increasingly active role in UN activities and made substantive contributions in a wide range of areas, from the UN Security Council and Human Rights Council to peacekeeping, marine and ocean affairs, environmental protection and sustainable development.
