The 2014 Vietnam Anti-Corruption Initiative (VACI 2014) programme was launched in Hanoi on December 9, with a view to reducing corruption and strengthening transparency in State-run agencies.
Co-organised by the Government Inspectorate and the World Bank (WB), the programme themed “Strengthening transparency, public integrity and accountability” includes an innovation contest and a knowledge exchange forum.
Twenty creative and outstanding projects on ways to fight corruption will be awarded and put into practice.
Domestic agencies at the grassroots level and foreign organisations in coordination with Vietnamese legal entities are able to send their projects to the jury until March 21 next year.
The launched programme is the third event of the VACI series. The 24 best initiatives out of 130 sent proposals were selected and successfully implemented in the previous programme in 2013.-VNA
