Vietnam joined 28 other countries in an annual fair held by the Asia-Pacific Women’s Association (APWA) in Brussels , Belgium on June 13.
This year, Vietnam brought to the event a wide range of products, ranging from handicraft to traditional food. Its conical hat dance staged during th event was highly praised by foreign audience.
The annual APWA fair aims to raise funds for education and healthcare activities and minimise the aftermath of natural disasters in the Asia-Pacific region while providing regional countries with a good opportunity to promote their special culture.
All proceeds collected at the event will be used to help poor and disabled children in Samoa , Sri Lanka and the Belgian DAMIAANACTIE charitable organisation.
APWA was established at the initiative of the wives of the ambassadors of Asia –Pacific countries in Belgium and the EU seven years ago. It has organised a number of fairs to raise funds for women and children in member countries facing difficulties or natural disasters./.
