Vietnam is participating in the 2015 ASEAN cuisine festival that opened in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh on August 29.

Traditional Vietnamese dishes such as “pho bo” (noodle served with beef), “banh xeo” (crispy pancakes), and “nem ran” (spring rolls) have received great attention from international visitors.

Staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Cambodia also delivered documents and leaflets introducing Vietnamese cuisine and landscapes to visitors from all over the world.

Cambodia ’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Hor Nam Hong said the festival helps promote the understanding of gastronomy, culture, country and people of ASEAN member states, thus enhancing their friendship.

The event also includes art performances highlighting the unique culture of ASEAN countries.-VNA
