Vietnam attends world biggest tourism fair in Germany

As many as 50 Vietnamese travel companies are showcasing their products and services at the 49th International Tourism Fair (ITB) which opened on March 3 at the Messe Berlin exhibition centre in Berlin , Germany.

The world largest annual tourism fair willinclude booths set up by nearly 10,000 travel companies, hotels, tourismgroups and restaurants from 186 countries and territories , and willremain open through March 8.

General Director of the VietnamNational Administration of Tourism (VNAT) Nguyen Van Tuan highlightedthe goal to position Vietnam as a beautiful, friendly and safecountry through tourism presentations at the fair.

VisitingVietnam ’s booth, Parliamentarian Jurgen Klimke noted 2015 will markthe 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries, andexpressed his hope that bilateral relations will intensify.

Inreturn, Vietnamese Ambassador in Germany Nguyen Thi Hoang Anh discussedexpectations in tourism collaboration growth between Vietnam andGermany at different levels such as State, businesses, and people.

About 125,000 Vietnamese nationals currently live in Germany, and over 100,000 Vietnamese speak German.-VNA
