Vietnam, Cambodia parliaments bolster cooperation

A delegation of the Cambodian National Assembly’s Commission for Legislation and Justice, headed by Chairman Pen Pannha, visited Vietnam to discuss measures to boost bilateral cooperation.

On Mar. 27, the delegation was received by Vice Chairman of the Vietnamese National Assembly Uong Chu Luu.

NA Vice Chairman Luu expressed his wish that the two parliaments will regularly exchange visits at all levels, boost cooperation in law making and coordinate to expand relations in economy, investment, and culture between the two countries.

Luu affirmed Vietnam ’s consistent policy of boosting neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and long-lasting and comprehensive cooperation with Cambodia .

The Vietnamese NA Vice Chairman proposed the two sides support each other under the framework of bilateral cooperation, as well as at regional and international forums for the benefits of the two people.

Pen Pannha said Cambodia always attaches importance to enhancing friendship and cooperation between the two countries in all fields.

Pen Pannha said the Cambodian Commission for Legislation and Justice wants to boost the exchange of experiences and cooperation in legislative area and educate people of the two countries, especially young generations about the fine relations between the two countries.

The same day, the Cambodian delegation was received by Director of the Vietnamese NA Committee for Legal Affairs Phan Trung Ly and Director of the Justice Committee Nguyen Van Hien.-VNA
