Hanoi (VNA) – The third Strategic Security Dialogue at the deputy ministerial level between Vietnam and China took place in Hanoi on November 4.

The event, chaired by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Public Security Bui Van Nam and Chinese Deputy Minister of State Security Tang Chao, aimed to review the results of the implementation of signed cooperation agreements, and discuss and agree on orientation to deepen the bilateral ties and perfect the bilateral cooperative mechanism.

Speaking at the event, Nam said he believes that with the spirit of friendship and mutual trust, the two sides would exchange opinions on issues of shared concern and assess impact of the regional and international security developments on each country’s national security and political stability.

Tang spoke highly of the outcomes of cooperation between the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security and the Chinese Ministry of State Security.

He hailed the significance of this dialogue as its outcomes can help boost the two countries’ comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.-VNA
