Shooters Nguyen Thu Hang, Dang Hong Ha and Nguyen Thi Le Quyen bagged asilver medal in the women’s 10m mobile target air rifle competition onSeptember 26 at the ongoing Asian Games in Incheon, Republic ofKorea .
The trio gained a total of 1,106 points, 42 points lower than China ’s team, putting them in second place.
Nguyen Thi Nhung, Vietnam ’s national shooting team’s coach, saidthis was an admirable feat, beating Qatar ’s team, who won a bronzemedal.
Nguyen Thu Hang, scoring 375 points, secured a place in the final round alongside three Chinese markswomen.
This medal was Vietnam ’s first medal of the day, with a totaltally of one gold, six silver and 16 bronze medals so far.
Later on, sharpshooters Hoang Xuan Vinh, Ha Minh Thanh and Bui Quang Namcame fourth in the 25m rapid fire pistol category with 1,734 points,narrowly missing the bronze medal.-VNA
