Vietnam fosters experience sharing with Italian Communist Party

Hoang thanked Italy’s left-wing movementand the CPI for their support for Vietnam’s previous struggles fornational liberation and reunification as well as for the current processof national construction and development.

He saidone of the important lessons the Communist Party of Vietnam has learntis listening to public opinions to improve performance.

The Party official also expressed his conviction that the CPI willspare no efforts in fulfilling its huge responsibility as a vanguardparty and a political fulcrum of the Italian working people.

For his part, CPI Central Committee Secretary Maurizio Musolinoapplauded Vietnam’s tremendous achievements during the three decades of“doi moi” (reform) process, which he said is the most vivid evidence ofefforts and power of a nation led by the Communist Party.

The two sides discussed theoretical issues related to the practicaldevelopment of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the CPI as well as theadvantages and disadvantages for leftist movements in Italy.

The CPI leader said the objectives of the CPI are to protect therights of labourers, preserve culture and develop society.

At the session, both sides also shared experience in promotingcultural and educational development abroad in the context ofinternational integration and dealing with the challenges presented bymarket economic conditions.

Musolino also expressedhis wish that the two parties would continue to cooperate closely byintensifying the exchange of lessons drawn from the developmentprocess.-VNA

To further strengthen Vietnam-Belgium relations, especially parliamentary cooperation, both sides agreed to enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly between parliamentary committees and friendship groups. They also pledged to share legislative and supervisory experience, coordinate positions in international organisations, support each other’s candidacies for UN bodies, and effectively implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
