Receiving the co-president of theVietnam-France joint committee on National Defence Cooperation, LaurentBili, Deputy Minister Sen. Lt. Gen Nguyen Khac Nghien said heconsidered the French official’s visit a valuable opportunity for thetwo countries to exchange experience and explore possible areas ofcooperation in national defence.
Nghien, who is also Chief of General Staff of the Vietnam People’sArmy, said the two countries’ military cooperation has achievedfruitful results in training, exchanges of delegations, medicalresearch and air force.
For his part, Bili expressed his pleasure upon his second working visitto Vietnam and talked about the outcome of the joint committee’smeeting.
He hoped that agreements reached during the working session would soon be put into action./.
