During the visit, the Guangdong Vice Governor and ForeignDeputy Minister Ho Xuan Son co-chaired the fourth periodicconference reviewing the connection between Vietnam’s ministries andlocalities and Guangdong over the previous year and making plansfor future affiliation.
The two sides agreed thatmulti-faceted collaboration between Vietnam’s localities and China’s Guangdong province has seen positive outcomes in all fields,especially in trade, investment, agriculture and tourism, buoyed by theVietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership.
Two-way trade between Vietnam and Guangdong was recorded at9.96 billion USD in the first ten months of 2013, a yearly increase of44.3 percent.
During this year, six moreGuangdong-based businesses started operating in Vietnam with a totalcapital of over 24 million USD.
The province ispartnering with Vietnam to carry out several major projects in thecountry, such as An Duong industrial park and Vinh Tan 1 thermal powerplant.
On the occasion of the visit, the Chineseprovince has also worked with Vietnam to organise a trade promotionconference in Ho Chi Minh City and a tourism promotion workshop in DaNang.-VNA
