Hanoi (VNA) – Minister of Public Security Gen. ToLam has proposed Cuba facilitate Vietnam’s access to the former's COVID-19vaccines and support the transfer of vaccine production technologies to the Southeast Asian country.

Lam made the proposal during his reception on July 20for Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén, which alsosaw the presence of representatives from the Cuban Ministry of the Interior.

The Minister said he is delighted to know that Cuba is developingfive types of COVID-19 vaccines, which will be administered to all Cubans andexported to several countries.

Stressing the significance of intensify bilateralcooperation in ensuring national security and maintaining social safety andorder in each country, he suggested the Vietnamese Ministry of Public Securityand the Cuban Ministry of the Interior continue supporting each other in allfields in which they have strengths.

The Cuban diplomat affirmed that in his position he will work asa bridge contributing to deepening the traditional friendshipand collaboration between the two countries./.
