Investors and entrepreneurs from Japan ’s Aichi prefecture and Vietnamese businessmen exchanged experiences and talked about investment cooperation chances at a meeting in HCM City on July 7.

Delegates pointed out some shortcomings of Vietnam ’s current tax regulations and labour policies applied to foreign companies and recommended to improve the investment environment.

Head of the Planning and Investment Ministry’s Foreign Investment Agency Do Nhat Hoang spoke highly of the potential and quality of projects invested by companies from Japan in general and from Aichi prefecture in particular.

He called for Japanese small- and medium-sized enterprises to boost investment in Vietnam .

Aichi is one of the largest economic and industrial centres in central Japan . To date, more than 70 Aichi enterprises, including Toyota , Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawaii, have invested in Vietnam./.
