VNA Director General Nguyen Duc Loi asked the VWU to promptly providesufficient information on such sensitive matters relating to the legitimaterights and interests of women and children as trafficking, sexual abuse, anddismissal of women at industrial parks to press agencies, including the VNA, tohave accurate and high-quality works.
The agency will produce articles on significantevents and operational orientations of the VWU in the 2017-2022 tenure such asprotecting the legitimate rights and interests of women and encouraging thewhole society to take care of women, he added.
VWU President Nguyen Thi Thu Ha said the VNA hasaccompanied the VWU in all activities over the past time. Particularly, at the12th National Women’s Congress, the VNA published a lot of stories and reportshighlighting the union’s remarkable achievements.
The union will increase the provision ofinformation reflecting the aspirations of women in remote and industrial areasfor the VNA to promptly detect any actions that harm the legitimate rights andinterests of women, she added.
The State-owned VNA is a major news agency inSoutheast Asia with more than 1,300 reporters and editors, and a network ofrepresentative offices in all 63 cities and provinces of Vietnam and 30 inforeign countries.-VNA
