Vietnam News Agency's delegation pays working visit to Quang Tri
Quang Tri (VNA) - A delegation from the Vietnam News
Agency (VNA), led by General Director Nguyen Duc Loi, paid a working trip to
the storm-ravaged central province of Quang Tri on November 3.
Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Le Quang Tung told the delegation that the province is directing efforts to restore economic development following
the disaster.
He hailed VNA for publicising the province’s socio-economic development
and national defence-security situation in the past years, and hoped the State-run news
agency would continue to provide assistance in communications, especially in promoting
signature local products.
Loi, for his part, congratulated the provincial Party Organisation on
successfully holding its 17th Congress and expressed his sympathy with the province over losses caused by storms and floods. The VNA staff had recently
joined hands to help residents in the central region overcome the disaster, he added.
In the long-term, VNA will continue its communications cooperation activities that the two sides had signed, he said.
On the same day, VNA and authorities of Trieu Phong district held a
ceremony to inaugurate Trieu Tai Pre-school in Trieu Tai commune.
The school sits on 305 sq.m and cost 1.8 billion VND (78,200 USD) to
build, financed by both VNA and Vingroup.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Loi asked the locality to make effective use of
the facility to meet learning and teaching needs of local teachers and children.
The VNA General Director also presented gifts to the pre-school./.
