The VFPD also works closely with the Vietnam Association of Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin to seek world support and urge US authorities and chemical firms to compensate Vietnamese AO/dioxin victims and clean up dioxin-contaminated areas in the country.
On the occasion, the VFPD also held a congress and re-elected former Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh as its Chair for the 2013 – 2018 tenure.
Binh said the VFPD will continue improving the efficiency of people-to-people diplomacy to boost international solidarity for peace and development.
