Vietnam People's Navy: A proud, essential force at sea

Sixty years have passed since the first battle of the Vietnam People’s Navy (August 2 and 5, 1964), but the heroic spirit and lessons from that victory remain invaluable today. They continue to inspire the Navy to build a revolutionary, disciplined, elite, and modern force, contributing to the cause of national development and defense.
