The Vietnamese Embassy in Laos held a banquet in Vientiane on August 10 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Vietnam People’s Public Security.
Addressing the event, Ambassador Nguyen Manh Hung reviewed the glorious tradition of the Vietnam People’s Public Security, saying that under the leadership of the Vietnamese Party, the police force together with the national army and people reaped glorious achievements over the past seven decades.
During the period, the Vietnamese and Lao police stood side by side and worked closely to ensure national security and social order and safety in their respective countries, the Ambassador said.
The traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two nations’ Parties, States and people as well as the collaborative ties and mutual assistance between the Vietnam People’s Public Security and the Lao Ministry of Public Security are a rare example of pure and faithful relations in the world, he added.
The Ambassador expressed his belief that the coordination and reciprocal support between the two countries’ police forces would progress and actively contribute to national construction, defence and reform.
On behalf of the Lao counterparts, Lao Deputy Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh and Minister of Public Security Somkeo Silavong congratulated the Vietnam People’s Public Security on it achievements over the past 70 years.
