A delegation of Vietnam ’s Ministry of Science and Technology led by Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien had a working visit to Germany from May 9-15 to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the area.
The visit was made on the occasion of the 35 th founding anniversary of the diplomatic ties between Vietnam and Germany and 15 th anniversary of the two-way sci-tech cooperation.
During the trip, the delegation had separate working visits with the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) in Berlin and Bonn cities, the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the State Ministry for Science and the Arts of Sachsen.
At the headquarter of the BMBF in Berlin, State Secretary Helge Brau and Deputy Minister Le Dinh Tien discussed measures of promoting cooperation between the two agencies in the coming time and accelerating the signing of a scientific and technological cooperation agreement between the two countries in 2010.
During their visits to the universities of Berlin and Dresden , the delegation discussed with their German colleagues on expanding cooperation in machinery manufacturing, electromechanics and automation between the two universities and Vietnamese partners./.
