(Photo: VNA) Moscow (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Russia NgoDuc Manh on November 21 took over the rotating Chairmanship of the ASEAN MoscowCommittee (AMC) from the Thai ambassador.
The hand-over took place during the fourth meeting of the AMC heldin the Hanoi-Moscow Complex (Incentra) in the Russian capital city the sameday.
Ambassadors from other ASEAN member countries, including thePhilippines, Brunei, Cambodia, Laos and Indonesia, expressed their support forVietnam’s AMC Chairmanship, which, they said, is expected to help promotesolidarity and cooperation between the grouping and Russia.
The meeting adopted the plan on the committee’s activities in 2020proposed by Vietnam.
Accordingly, the committee is scheduled to host such activities asan ASEAN flag hoisting ceremony, ASEAN Family Day, a workshop on ASEAN-Russiaeconomic collaboration and other events featuring ASEAN cuisines and culture.
