Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Thien Nhan has agreed in principle that Vietnam will receive Cambodian students for short and long-time training courses in culture and arts.

Receiving a delegation of Cambodia ’s Ministry of Culture and Fine Arts led by Minister Him Chhem in Hanoi on June 17, the Deputy PM, who is also Minister of Education and Training, applauded the results of the two countries’ discussions on cooperation in culture and arts.

He suggested the two relevant ministries coordinate in organising a biennial Vietnam-Cambodia Cultural Week in rotation in the two countries in order to broaden the mutual understanding between their peoples.

Deputy PM Nhan also expressed his wish that the two countries would further boost cooperation in tourism.

Minister Him Chhem expressed thanks to the Vietnamese Government and Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their support and assistance to Cambodia in the culture and arts field.

He said he wished that their cooperation would be intensified with more exchanges of delegations at all levels./.
