Vietnam to meet Thailand at AFF futsal event

Hanoi (VNA) - Vietnam are in GroupB of the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Futsal Championship 2018, according tothe event’s draw.

The team will compete alongside Thailand, Bruneiand Timor Leste. Group A include Malaysia, Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

The Philippines withdrew from the event afterthe draw had finished. Accordingly, they are in Group A. They were fined 10,000USD.

The tournament is scheduled to be held inIndonesia on December 3-11 but will clash with the AFF Cup, so hosts Indonesiahave proposed to the AFF to change the time of the AFF futsal event. The AFFfutsal tournament’s official time will be announced soon.

In other news, Sanatech Khanh Hoa will be theonly Vietnamese representative in the AFF Futsal Club Championship 2018 to beheld in Indonesia on July 11-22 which will attract the participation of seventeams from seven nations.-VNA
