Vietnam to play Indonesia in November friendly

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnam will take part in friendly matches with Indonesia as a warm-up for November’s ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup.

The matches will be spread over two legs in a home and away format, however the dates have not yet been confirmed.

Indonesia are in Group A with Thailand, the Philippines and Singapore. Vietnam are in Group B with Malaysia, Myanmar and a winner from the qualification. 

As planned, Vietnam will gather for training on September 24. They then have a friendly with the Democratic People Republic of Korea (DPRK) on October 8 before leaving for a two-week training course in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

It is expected that the Vietnam vs Indonesia game will be in early November.

The Cup is organised on November 19 to December 17 in Myanmar and the Philippines.-VNA

According to the organisers, this year’s tournament offers a total prize pool of 28,100 USD.
