Hanoi (VNA) – Acting Administrator of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Uttam Dhillon has been working with relevant Vietnamese agencies to fight transnational drug trafficking.
According to the US Embassy in Vietnam, during his recent working visit to Vietnam, Dhillon met with Minister of Public Security General To Lam and Lieutenant-General Pham Van Cac, General Director of the Investigation Police Department on Drug-related Crimes.
Dhillon recognised the importance of the strategic relationship between the DEA and Vietnam’s Ministry of Public Security.
He reaffirmed that the DEA will continue to collaborate with its partners in Vietnam to strengthen the ministry’s efforts in combating transnational drug trafficking organisations./.
