Vietnam wins bronze at World Choir Champs

The Hanoi New Choir (HNC) won bronze medal at the sixth World Choir Games taking place in Shaoxing city in the Chinese province of Zhejiang on July 17, Deputy Director of Vietnam Opera Ballet Theatre Pham Hong Hai said on July 19.

Competing in the folk choirevent were about 50 troupes from over 30 countries and territories.Besides, the HNC and troupes from Australia, the Philippines, SouthAfrica and the host China also gave performances on outdoor stagesbefore about 1,000 audiences.

The sixth World ChoirGames was held in coincidence with the 2500 th founding anniversary ofShaoxing city, drawing the participation of 430 troupes from 100countries and territories throughout the world.

Theopening ceremony of the event was live broadcast and considered the mostimpressive so far in its history, attracting over 10,000 audiences fromfive continents./.

Under the current examination format, candidates are required to complete the mandatory Literature and Mathematics tests, along with a combined test comprising two subjects selected from a range of options, including Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Informatics, Foreign Languages, History, Geography, Technology-Industry, Technology-Agriculture, and Economics-Law. Students may also choose to take a foreign language different from the one studied at school.
