A group of Vietnamese alumni living in Sydney, Australia joined a 21.5km-long walk to raise fund for poor Vietnamese children with a total amount of over 300 million VND (13,000 USD).

Sydney (VNA) – A group of Vietnamese alumni living inSydney, Australia joined a 21.5km-long walk to raise fund for poor Vietnamesechildren with a total amount of over 300 million VND (13,000 USD).

The event was in responseto an appeal for fund-raising walk by Blue Dragon Children’s Foundation, acharity organisation founded in 2003 for disadvantaged children across Vietnam.

As many as 28 members of13 families, including five children aged 9-14, in a group named “New Sunlightfor Children” joined the walk./.

Authorities warn against hiring foreign workers violating immigration rules

Investigations revealed that several foreign nationals had been sponsored by two companies headquartered in Ho Chi Minh City to apply for temporary residence cards under the category of investors. However, the individuals were not genuine investors but had completed procedures through intermediaries in order to remain in Vietnam.
