Vientiane (VNA) – Vietnamese Ambassador to Laos Nguyen Ba Hung led a Vietnamesedelegation to the Lao Ministry of Foreign Affairs on April 4 tocongratulate the country's on its traditional New Year festival Bunpimay.

Hungexpressed his best wishes to the Lao Party, State and people on the occasion.He informed that Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, President Vo VanThuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and National Assembly Chairman VuongDinh Hue will send letters of congratulations and flowers to Lao Party andState leaders.

Stressingthat the Vietnamese Party, State and people are delighted at the recentpositive development in Laos after the COVID-19 pandemic was put under control, Hung highlightedthe role of Lao PM Sonexay Siphandone, and Lao Deputy PM and Minister of Foreign Affairs Saleumxay Kommasith in the process.

Heexpressed his belief that this year, the Lao Party, State and people willcontinue reaping new achievements, stabilising the socio-economic situation andbringing Laos back to the path of sustainable development in the near future.

Hewished that the Vietnamese Ambassador and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy wouldfulfill their tasks assigned by the Party and State./.
