Vietnamese leaders receive Brunei Energy Minister

President Sangapplauded the results of a working session between the Bruneidelegation and the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (PVN) to realisetheir cooperation agreements. He said the results will furtherstrengthen the two countries’ economic ties.

Hespoke highly of Brunei’s ASEAN Presidency and said that the twocountries can intensify cooperation in the fields of agriculture,forestry and fishery.

Yasmin said that his visit toVietnam aims to realise the signed agreements of the two countries’leaders, especially in oil and gas cooperation.

Regarding the working session with the PVN, he affirmed that the twosides reached a consensus to upgrade their relationship.

At the meeting with Yasmin, Deputy PM Hai said that Vietnam hopes tocontinue attracting investment in energy, in particular from countrieswith petroleum strengths like Brunei .

Vietnam is also willing to cooperate with businesses from Bruneito implement projects in the country as well as in third countries,including liquefied gas and the supply of crude oil for export and DungQuat Oil Refinery, he added.

For his part, Yasminaffirmed Brunei ’s determination to strengthen its fine relationshipwith Vietnam in various fields.

He spoke highlyof the importance of boosting petroleum cooperation between the twocountries, adding that it will benefit both sides and contribute to thedevelopment of their relationship in ASEAN.-VNA

To further strengthen Vietnam-Belgium relations, especially parliamentary cooperation, both sides agreed to enhance delegation exchanges at all levels, particularly between parliamentary committees and friendship groups. They also pledged to share legislative and supervisory experience, coordinate positions in international organisations, support each other’s candidacies for UN bodies, and effectively implement the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
