Vietnamese-origin intellectuals in Cambodia contribute to Party building efforts

Phnom Penh (VNA) - The Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs has held a special talk on the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV)'s leadership in the new era - that of the nation's rise.

Participating in the programme from Phnom Penh, Dr. Heng LiHong, Director of Med 115 Polyclinic in Phnom Penh, expressed strong appreciation for the timely and strategic theme of the talk, which was held to mark the CPV's 95th anniversary (February 3, 1930 - 2025).

In an interview with the Vietnam News Agency in Phnom Penh, Dr. Heng emphasised that enhancing officials’ capacities goes beyond ethics and professional skills—it also involves effectively harnessing each individual’s potential.

He highlighted the importance of human resources, especially Party members and officials, to strengthening the CPV’s leadership, as well as the political system's commitment to Party rectification and the ongoing fight against corruption. He hopes that further improvements can be made in the recruitment, utilisation, and evaluation of officials.

Dr. Heng also suggested the Party create more opportunities for young officials who think big, act bold, and dare to bear responsibility

Looking ahead, as the country stands on the threshold of the new era, he expressed hope that the CPV will build a contingent of officials who remain connected to reality and are equipped to tackle emerging challenges. This will ensure that Vietnam continues its sustainable development and achieves its aspirations for prosperity in the 21st century./.
