Tuyen has used theUniSim Design Suite to effectively simulate the most importantconversion process used in petroleum refineries, called FluidisedCatalytic Cracking (FCC). It is expected to help to maximise thegasoline yield produced. The model was tested for accuracy by usingcrude oil from a Vietnamese refinery.
The studentshowcased his winning design to almost 300 industrial experts andmanufacturing companies at the HUG Asia-Pacific symposium which tookplace in the Gold Coast, Australia .
