Vietnamese students excel at World Mathematics Olympiad

Hanoi (VNA) – Vietnamese students finished third with two silver and seven bronzemedals in the final of the World Mathematics Olympiad (WMO) held in Tianjin,China from August 11-12. 

The silvermedals went to Hoang Duong Phuc Quang and To Huynh Phuc, students of Tran DaiNghia High School for the Gifted. 

The WMO is anannual international maths competition for students aged from 8 to 13, focusingon creativity, intuitive deduction, team-work and problem solving skills.

This is thesecond time Vietnam has entered the final round of the competition with 12students of Grade 5 and 6 from schools in Ho Chi Minh City.

They competedwith candidates from China, the UK, Canada, Australia, the Republic of Korea,Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.-VNA

National, local traffic safety committees to be dissolved from June 1

Under the dicision, ministries and ministerial-level agencies will assume responsibility for tasks previously performed by the committee, in line with their mandates under the Law on Government Organisation, the Law on Road Traffic Order and Safety, the Law on Roads and other relevant legal frameworks, ensuring that traffic safety and order are maintained without disrupiton.

About 10,000 students expected at National Startup Day 2026
