Phnom Penh (VNA) – Vietnamese students in Cambodia on January 13 organised anevent to celebrate the 2018 Lunar New Year.

The event was attendedby Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Vu Quang Minh and Cambodian Minister ofEducation, Youth and Sports Hang Chuon Naron, along with overseas students fromVietnam and other countries like Laos, China, the Republic of Korea and Japan.

In his remarks, Minhsaid that Vietnamese students graduated in Cambodia have greatly contributed toVietnam’s development as well as the friendship and cooperation between the twonations.

Lauding thecontributions and academic achievements of Vietnamese students in the country, theCambodian minister voiced his belief that the exchanged students will not only fosterthe development of the respective countries but also consolidate the bilateral traditionalfriendship and comprehensive cooperation.

Vietnamesestudents have spared no efforts to promote solidarity and maintain the culturalidentity and tradition of their home country, said Le Trung Kien, head of theVietnamese students in Cambodia.

Currently, more than 100 Vietnamesestudents are studying at universities in Cambodia.-VNA

Second government legislation meeting reviews draft bills
