on July 19, commencing an official friendship visit at the invitation
of Lieutenant General Neo Kian Hong, Chief of the city state’s Defence
Force.

The delegation, led by Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Khac Nghien, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, will stay in Singapore until July 22.
During the visit, they are scheduled to pay a courtesy visit to Prime Minister Lee Hsien-long and Deputy PM cum Defence Minister Teo Chee Hean. Both sides will discuss measures towards promoting the military and defence cooperation between the two armies and issues of mutual concern./.
