Hanoi (VNA) – Mobile internet speed in Vietnam increased by 1.4 times in July compared to March, with upload processes sped up by 1.2 times, according to the Vietnam Internet Network Information Center (VNNIC) under the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Data from the VNNIC-developed i-Speed internet speed measurement system shows that in July, the average mobile broadband download speed in Vietnam reached 54.34 Mbps, a slight increase from the 52.4 Mbps in June. The average upload speed for mobile broadband was 21.19 Mbps, consistent with the June figure.
The average mobile download speed steadily increased from 38.69 Mbps in March to 54.34 Mbps in July, marking a growth of approximately 40%.
Regarding the quality of internet service providers in Vietnam, i-Speed statistics reveal that Viettel ranked first in mobile internet speed last month, followed by Vinaphone (VNPT), MobiFone, and Vietnamobile.
In the fixed broadband segment, Viettel also led with the best fixed internet download speeds, followed by FPT Telecom, VNPT, CMC Telecom, SCTV, and Netnam.
