VN, Chinese Parties hold theoretical talks

The CPVdelegation to the three-day event was led by Dinh The Huynh, Politburomember, Chairman of the Theoretical Council and Head of the Commissionfor Popularisation and Education of the CPV Central Committee, while theCPC delegation was headed by Liu Yunshan, Politburo member and Head ofthe Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Hoang Binh Quan, Head of the CPVCentral Committee’s Commission for External Relations, and Wang Jiarui,Head of the International Liaison Department of the CPC CentralCommittee, emphasised the importance and practicality of the workshop’stheme for the revolutionary cause, renewal process and reforms in bothVietnam and China .

In his speech at theopening ceremony, Huynh introduced Ho Chi Minh Thought as well as thestandpoints, experience and achievements of the CPV in people-relatedaffairs.

He stressed the extremely importantposition and role of the people, a factor that ensures the success ofthe revolutionary cause of Vietnam over historic stages.

The official pointed out shortcomings and great challenges facing thepublic-related affairs, as well as putting forward orientations andmeasures to overcome these shortcomings.

Huynhemphasised the need to improve the awareness of the great role andstrength of the people and renovate the Party’s leadership methods formass mobilisation.

Meanwhile, Liu’s speech highlighted CPC’s lessons and experience in the public-regarding work over the past 90 years.

During the first day of the event, Vietnamese and Chinese theoristsand scientists presented and exchanged views on six topics.

At a meeting between the heads of the CPV and CPC delegations priorto the workshop, the two officials affirmed the importance of thetraditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the twoParties, two States and two peoples.

They alsostressed the practical significance of theoretical cooperation betweenthe two Parties during the renewal, openness and socialism buildingprocess in Vietnam and China .

The twoofficials also discussed measures to strengthen cooperation between theCommission for Popularisation and Education of the CPV Central Committeeand the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee./.
