VN crewmen being cared for in Uruguay

The unharmed sailors, who are staying at the Crillon Hotel in Uruguay , said their living conditions were good.

Fourother sailors, who suffered from burns, are being treated at thenational burns centre of Uruguay . Local doctors said three of theinjured are in a serious condition.

The fire also killed two Vietnamese sailors.
At present, Uruguayan authorities are investigating the case. Theship’s owner will provide air tickets to bring the survivors and ashesof the dead sailors back to Vietnam .
Montevideo portauthorities and the vessel’s agent said that of the 40 crew of thefishing boat Jung Woo III, 25 were Vietnamese. The fire broke out at4.15am (local time) and also injured two Chinese crew members.

Another vessel of the same company, Jung Woo II, recently caught firein waters southeast of New Zealand, taking the lives of three Vietnamesefishermen aboard.-VNA

Vietnam delivers 3 tonnes of aid supplies to Myanmar earthquake victims

The aid package includes antibiotics, digestive medications, cold and flu remedies, and basic healthcare equipment like blood pressure monitors, blood glucose metres, bandages, and disinfectants. The supplies also feature mosquito spray pumps and insecticides to prevent disease outbreaks in affected areas.
